Barry Ford
DFW Area Saxophonist

Barry is best described as a production oriented musician. While completing his BA in Music Composition at the University of North Texas, and an Associate Degree in Recording Technology at Cedar Valley College, he began performing as a professional saxophonist in the Dallas Fort Worth area in 1984.


In 1986, he became co-leader of a contemporary jazz group, The Final Connection, which performed primarily in Dallas including clubs and restaurants along the famous Greenville Avenue, as well as Strictly Taboo, the Fairmont and Crescent Hotels.


Barry plays a wide range of music: Lead tenor sax in the Joshua Experience Big Band for over 15 years, has ccasionally subbed in the Dallas Jazz Orchestra, plays with various styled groups, Gospel, Ballroom Dance, Reggae, etc. He joined forces with the Cooper Jazz Project in 2015.
